Munroe Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce that it has received the 2008/09 Consumer Choice Award for Marion County by the National Research Corporation (NRC). It is the sixth consecutive year that Munroe Regional has won the award.

OCALA - The hallway that leads to Dr. Peter Chung's office is lined with dozens of large boxes. In a few weeks, he will take those boxes filled with medical equipment - from gauze to instruments to monitors - board a plane, and head to North Korea. For a few days, he and his team of 10 will be among the few Americans allowed in that country.

OCALA - In an effort to create a comprehensive heart program, Munroe Regional Medical Center is adding a new service that will focus solely on the electrical system of the heart.
